122 real questions, collected first-hand from more than forty working traders, campaign managers and media buyers who sat programmatic interviews. DV360, The Trade Desk, RTB — with the thirty-second version of every answer, to say out loud.

Most candidates who don't get the offer aren't underqualified. They've read the blogs. They've watched the walkthroughs. They can define an SSP cleanly.
Then the interviewer says: "Campaign's live, budget's set, it's spending nothing. Walk me through what you'd check." And there's a pause that runs three seconds too long.
That question isn't testing what you know. It's testing whether you've ever had to fix it. Free material is full of definitions, because definitions are easy to write — including, honestly, our own DV360 blog posts. Real interviews are full of here's a broken campaign, what now — and almost nothing out there prepares you for that.
Two sources. Our own team at Datametrik went out, interviewed for programmatic roles, and came back and wrote down what they were asked while it was still fresh. Then more than forty other practitioners — traders, campaign managers, account managers, media buyers who'd recently interviewed — shared their question lists.
That origin shapes the book in ways worth knowing:
One point of full disclosure: a smaller number of questions were added by us, to close gaps the collected set didn't cover — connected TV, privacy and identity, Trade Desk depth, the human round. We'd rather tell you they're there than let you assume every line came from a transcript.
What this book does not claim: that these are the only questions you'll be asked, or that memorising them guarantees an offer. Interviewers improvise. What it does claim is that if you can handle everything in here comfortably and out loud, you'll be better prepared than the large majority of people sitting in the waiting room with you.

Dinner is one number. Here's the one that matters more — what programmatic pays in India, by rung:
Clearing one step is worth roughly ₹2,00,000 a year — every year, compounding into every salary you negotiate after it.
This book costs 0.6% of that. Less than a single day's pay at the job you're interviewing for.
That's the argument. Not "it's cheap" — plenty of cheap things are worth nothing. The point is the shape of the bet. A programmatic interview is a forty-five minute conversation that sets what you earn for the next two years. Spending under a day's pay to prepare for it isn't really a purchase decision.
About a third of one mock interview with a coach. Or a marketplace course that teaches you the theory you already know. Neither tells you what an interviewer actually asked, last month, in a real room.
122 questions, collected from more than forty working practitioners who sat these interviews and wrote down what they were asked while it was still fresh. That list doesn't exist anywhere else at any price — not on a blog, not in a course, not on YouTube. It's the one thing you can't research your way to the night before.
Most candidates can talk about one platform. The ones who get hired fastest can talk across the stack — and interviewers know it.
The ad server. Trafficking, tags, discrepancies, the questions ad ops teams actually ask.
Yield and the sell side. Where publisher revenue actually comes from.
Not an interview book. A working handbook for the Kokai platform, from your first login.

Yes. Every correction and update to this edition lands in your inbox free, at the email you bought with. Ad tech moves; you shouldn't have to buy the same book twice in a year.
No. Every question carries a difficulty badge, and there's a route through the book written specifically for people with no platform access yet. The freshers who struggle are the ones who only read; do the Your Turn questions out loud and you'll be fine.
Digital files can't be un-delivered, so sales are final — with the exceptions in our Refund & Cancellation Policy: non-delivery, a corrupted file, a duplicate charge, or the wrong product. Email us within 7 days and we'll sort it.
No. Display & Video 360 and Campaign Manager 360 are products of Google LLC; The Trade Desk and Kokai are products of The Trade Desk, Inc. This is an independent study guide, not endorsed by or sponsored by either company. See our Disclaimer.
Interfaces move; the reasoning doesn't. Where a benchmark figure is given, the book tells you to treat it as a working range rather than a fixed rule — and says why saying so in your interview makes you sound more credible, not less.
